  2. I know, right? This would be a great lawn ornament...forget about gaming thoughts.

  3. I absolutely love these things. I first came across them through my love for extreme metal and they get used a lot by a fair few Scandinavian bands.

As for gaming, my first thought is about a war memorial. A lot of people of died here...

  4. As a sign of good faith, the three kings of the storm giants sheathed their swords in the earth after signing the peace treaty with the men of the north.

  5. In the beginning the earth heaved and churned, breathing fire, as a cosmic dragon. The skies were black with smoke, and the valleys ran red with molten rock. And no life took hold upon this burning and barren orb of chaos. Looking down, the gods were sore dismayed, for they wished the world to be green and lush, and full of the vibrance of life. So they thrust their swords into the back of the dragon, slaying it. And lo! The skies cleared, and the rocks cooled. The rivers turned to clear water, and the lands grew green with life.

  6. Gaming thought 1: I want to fight the giants that wield those swords.

    Non-Gaming thought 1: Metal!

  7. A trio of mimicking slimes where made colossal by a mad wizard in ages past. They escaped and became the only form they knew how to mimic: Swords only know they where giant swords. A horde of wandering Norkers finds the swords and believes them to be a sin from the gods. They start placing their dead into the swords as an offering.

Because of the mad wizards magic they soon became sentient with minds made out of the sacrificed Norkers. They spoke to the Norker clan and taught them the secrets of arcane magic and how to use the baby mimic slimes as weapons.

  8. Thanks for the comments! Gotta love Neon_goggles and the Norker reference. Norkers and xvarts are my favorite Fiend Folio critters.
